Yoga for mums-to-be and new mums

1) Regular Pre-natal Classes

Learn how to cope with pregnancy and labour! Suitable for beginners at any stage of pregnancy.

  • Every Thursday: 5.30pm to 6.45pm and 6.45pm to 8.00pm (currently full, wait list only)
  • $180 for 10 sessions (valid for 12 weeks) or $25 per class (subject to availability)

2) Active Birthing- Yoga for Labour Workshop

This is a one-off small group workshop (max 7 couples) that is suitable for mums-to-be and their partners.

  • Sunday: 24 Jan 2016, 28 Feb 2016 OR 20 Mar 2016
  • 11am to 1.00pm
  • $90 per couple

3) Mama and Bebe Yoga + Sharing Session

Bonding time for the new mummies and babies. Suitable for babies up to 8 months (or just before they start crawling away)!

  • Sunday: 24 Jan 2016, 28 Feb 2016 OR 20 Mar 2016
  • 9.30am to 11.00am
  • $20 per session

Fun and relaxing! Our regular pre-natal classes help you learn how to cope with pregnancy and labour. Suitable for beginners at any stage of pregnancy. 

2) Active Birthing – Yoga for Labour workshop

This is a one-off small group workshop (max 7 couples) that is suitable for mums-to-be and their partners. Yoga is taught in a ‘Birth Story’ context, where participants are guided through each stage of labour, and introduced to the most suitable postures and birthing positions to allow for a more comfortable and efficient labour.

Perineal massage to reduce tearing and simple massage for pain relief will also be shared. If you are hoping for a drug-free birth, or to cope more efficiently with contractions during labour, this workshop is most ideal! Suitable from 3rd trimester onwards.

3) Mama and Bebe Yoga + Sharing Session

Bonding time for the new mummies and babies. Also time to pick up some tips from other mummies in this special monthly get together. Lots of fun and laughter in this dynamic and almost always chaotic session! Mummies can feel at home doing yoga (or feeding and changing baby) without worrying about the little one being somewhere else! The first hour will be a yoga practice (we try!) and the next half hour will be tea and sharing. Suitable for babies up to 8 months (or just before they start crawling away)!

Active Birthing - Yoga for Labour Workshop with Zheng Time: 10:30am to 12:30pm Dates: Sunday 16th Aug or Sunday 11th Oct Place: The Lumen Room @ Newton Circus Cost: $90 per couple/$50 per person   This is a small group workshop (maximum of 7 couples only) that is fun and informative. Suitable for mums-to-be and their birth partners (can be taken as an individual if it is more suitable) Yoga is taught in a ‘Birth Story’ context, where participants will be guided through each stage of labour, and introduced the most suitable breath, postures and birthing positions to allow for a more comfortable and efficient labour. Perineal massage to reduce tearing and simple massage for pain relief will also be shared.  If you are looking at having a drug free birth or looking to cope more efficiently with contractions during labor, this workshop would be ideal!   Experience: It is beneficial if the mum-to-be has had some pregnancy yoga experience, but not essential.
